A district attorney has rejected a proposed lie detector deal for a man charged with molesting two young girls at a western Pennsylvania daycare center operated by his wife. An assistant Butler County prosecutor had offered to let 65-year-old Roger Young take a polygraph test instead of a preliminary hearing.

Admission will be free to the Harmony Museum's Civil War in Pennsylvania exhibit on Sunday , the exhibit's final day. The traveling exhibit from the Sen. John Heinz History Center has been augmented with artifacts, photos and documents from the Harmony Museum collections.

A Butler County family has fallen on hard times after flames ripped through their home for the second time in recent weeks. The fire was first reported just after 4 a.m. at the home on Stone Church Road in Lancaster Township.

A passing motorist shortly before 10 p.m. spotted flames from the home in the 400 block of Riemer Road and called 911. "The entire house was engulfed when we got there and we couldn't make any kind of entry," said Chief Chris Ballina of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.

Intermittent, daytime lane closures are scheduled for I-79 North and South between Exit 96 and Exit 91 in Lancaster Township, Butler County. The pipe going across I-79 North and South at mile marker 90.5 will be repaired.

Judicial officials in Egypt say an appeals court has ordered a retrial in an internationally criticized mass trial, overturning 37 death sentences.
