NASCAR went viral on Sunday for the iRacing Pro Invitational and drivers had a lot of fun with the unique event.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson were just some of the big names who took part in the 100-lap simulation-style esports race on a virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The race featured competitors from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, NASCAR Cup Series and a few NASCAR dignitaries.

Alex Bowman let his dog takeover during a caution.

In-home postrace reporters became a thing.

Parker Kligerman revealed that his sim rig wasn't that fancy.

Clint Bowyer said his wife really disliked how much time he was spending on his sim rig practicing.

Denny Hamlin's daughter brought him a drink during the middle of the race.

Fans watched crew chief updates from the living room.

In the end, Hamlin took the win.

And may have gotten himself in trouble with his wife.

And finally, Dale Earnhardt revealed he's been virtual racing with Hamlin for the past two decades.
